    This is the same manikin as the popular Man Overboard manikin, the only difference is the colour. This uses an all black overall to make the rescue more challenging. It also includes a black mesh hoodie to hide the SOLAS.

    Water Rescue - Helicopter Winch

    A variation to our Man Overboard manikin, designed (with the help of Bristow Helicopters UK) to aid the lifting of a patient from the water avoiding the effects of hydrostatic squeeze associated with a straight lift. 

    Shorter legs and a slightly different weight distribution allow the manikin to be hoisted in the 'W' position.

    Surf Rescue

    Water Rescue - Body Recovery (Sinking)

    A pre-established protocol is essential for victim retrieval - the body recovery manikin was predominately designed to aid Police dive teams train to recover bodies from any inland waters or under ice.

    Bariatric (Water-Fillable) Rescue Training Manikin

    A unique solution to training on a bariatric patient - without the weight! Not strictly true, as eventually it does get very heavy! Simply slip the suit over a standard LifeTec dummy, then fill it with water. 

    Starting with a standard 30kg dummy, add up to 150kg in weight in about 20 minutes. The water is distributed throughout the suit and is controlled so it doesn't slump.

    Bariatric (Obese) Rescue Manikin

    Water Rescue - Helicopter Winch

We are excited to release details of our collaboration with Lifecast Body Simulation to create a 'World-first' for water rescue training.


The Advanced Water Rescue Toddler manikin is designed to mimic a drowned person in the water and delivers realistic medical simulation training that prepares rescuers for the real world. No other rescue manikin provides this level of fidelity (Realism), with opportunities to practice rescue skills, coupled with the continuation of care to the Hospital and the Intensive Care Unit.


When in water, the hydrostatic squeeze (pressure of the water) closes a valve within the lung mechanics. Once rescued from the water, the mechanism releases, creating the movement of the lungs and chest. Submerging the manikin creates an amount of water in the oropharynx, the middle part of the throat behind the mouth, which can be removed using manual or suction methods. The drowning mechanism even allows for the manikin to create “foam” to replicate the noises and foaming commonly seen in drowning people. When people drown they can inhale about 30ml of water into the lungs, and the manikin is able to replicate this phenomenon, as well as allow for dry lung drownings. The manikin, which is patent-pending, has taken two years of research and development to perfect.
